Good car and bad luck at Monett

Brandon McCormick Monett 7-17-2011After starting in the last position in his heat Brandon McCormick made his way to 4th place before the checkers flew landing him in the 6th row outside in the A-Main.

Five laps into the main event McCormick was spun creating a caution that put McCormick at tailback. After McCormick made his way back to 11th of the 22 car field a blown tire would send him to tailback for a second time. With the laps nearly diminished, McCormick was able to rally his way back to 15th in the closing laps of the 30 lap A-Main event. The Hatfield Powered GRT by Phillips was great all night, but bad luck kept McCormick from contention with the front runners.
